Two exciting opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students offered by KyAEA are:
Present a PechaKucha presentation at the KyAEA Fall Conference in the Preservice Division Roundtable session
and
Apply for the KyAEA Allan Perkins Undergraduate and Graduate Scholarship.
Pre-Service Roundtable Session
The Preservice Division Roundtable Session is meant to recognize excellence in our pre-service art education community and provide an opportunity for students to discuss relevant topics and connect with their peers at the KyAEA Fall Conference.
Pre-Service art educators are welcome to submit a proposal for a PechaKucha presentation to share their artwork, exciting lessons, or research ideas relating to art education. A PechaKucha presentation follows a format of 20 slides, each displayed for 20 seconds, resulting in a total presentation time of 6 minutes and 40 seconds. Your full slide deck is not required to submit a proposal. If your proposal is accepted, please follow the PechaKucha format when preparing your materials.
(Side Note: PechaKucha is pronounced: "pet-CHA-koo-CHA" or "pet-CHEH-kah-CHA")
Recipients will be notified by October 19 to allow sufficient time to register for the conference. Recipients of the scholarship are expected to attend the KyAEA conference on Saturday, November 15.
