The 2023 KyAEA Fall Conference is quickly approaching!

 

Here is your basic information to get started!

When? November 3rd-5th, 2023

 

Friday, November 3rd: !First time ever! We are having a Student Conference for 8th thru 12th grade students, along with drop off for the Student/Teacher Art Show, local off-site workshops in Cincinnati, and a meet and greet networking event.

Saturday, November 4th: All day workshops and sessions, our keynote speaker address, artisan sale and vendors, then topped with our annual Student/Teacher Awards and Gala.

Sunday, November 5th: Vendor sponsored workshops, giveaways and raffles!

What is the cost?

  • Member Pricing: Full Weekend - $135, Saturday Only - $110, Virtual Access - $60

  • Non-Member Pricing: Full Weekend - $205, Saturday Only - $185, Virtual Access - $100

  • Pre-Service & Retired Pricing: Full Weekend - $60, Saturday Only - $40, Virtual Access - $30

  • Student Conference (8th - 12th grade students): Friday Only - $20​

Ready to Register?

This year we must have all payments secured through the new registration site prior to conference weekend. If you are planning on getting your district or school to support your conference registration, please work with your school's financial secretary to obtain the proper forms to complete for reimbursement. Submit a quote to your district/school using a printout of the registration cart before purchasing for approval.

Introducing our first Student Conference!

KyAEA is excited to host the first EVER Student Conference in conjunction with this year's Fall Conference! The Student Conference will be held Friday, November 3, 2023, the day before our teacher conference begins. We hope this will be a fantastic engagement opportunity for students and become an annual feature of conference.

What do I need to know?

 

Student Conference registration closes on Monday, October 23rd.

-Check In begins at 9:00 am

-Sessions begins at 10:00 am

-Student Conference activities conclude at 3:30 pm

 

How do I register?

Please CLICK HERE and complete the linked Google Form (or click the button below) with all student and school information. You'll be receiving additional information upon registration and payment that includes schedule for the day, parking info and meal tickets.

About the day:

-Student visitors at Thomas More will be interacting with TMU staff and professors, and visiting areas of the campus during regular business hours. Students are expected to show respect to the facilities they will be in and the individuals they will be meeting. 

-Teacher/Parent visitors at Thomas More are expecting to actively chaperone their student visitors. Students will have an opportunity to choose workshops on their own and teachers/parents will want to circulate through the sessions students are attending. Communicate check points with students establish meet up times and locations with them throughout the conference day. 

 

Can I pay with a Purchase Order?

Yes! You can use a Purchase Order to pay for the Student Conference portion of the conference. Full PO payment information is in the instructions at the top of the Google Form.

Donate to the Silent Auction

What is the Silent Auction for?
Every year, KyAEA raises funds for our Allan Perkins Scholarship during our fall conference. One hundred percent of the proceeds go to student scholarships for those students who are pursuing the Art teaching field.

How do I participate?
Please bring new and/or used items that can be auctioned off to the conference. This can be ANYTHING! It does not have to be art related. If you are a regional representative, you are welcome to create a regional basket compiled by your KYAEA members. We are appreciative of all donations.

How do I prepare my donations?
Silent auction sheets will be available to fill out at the conference drop off location or you can download them here to fill out in advance. Fill out and print one form for EACH donation you submit to the auction. You need only fill out the "Donated by" and "Item Description" on these forms. Everything else will be filled out at the auction. Click the buttons to the right to download the donation form in PDF or Word format.

We need 20 members to step up and present a session! We've added new presentation categories to make personalizing your conference experience easy and catered to what YOU WANT out of conference. You also have the option to pre-record a session or present in-person as a live session! 

 

The deadline to submit a presentation is October 1, 2023.

Conference time is the time to recognize our AMAZING Kentucky Art Teachers! 

We have several different awards teachers can be nominated for and we've SIMPLIFIED the nomination process this year to maximize ease-of-use and to encourage more submissions.

Check out the nomination form and nominate a fellow friend/colleague. 

The deadline to nominate a teacher for an award is October 1, 2023

 

Mark your calendar and get it done!

Alongside our vendor booths we love to host our talented art teachers from around the state to set up their own booths to sell their work of all mediums. This is also a great opportunity for student groups to raise money for their respective organizations.

The Artisan application must be completed prior to September 30, 2023 to ensure proper space needed.

Vendor booths are the perfect way to network with new teachers and share new products and lessons with teachers across the state of Kentucky. We invite all local and national brands to showcase with us in our vendor hall.
