Art Educators of the Year Awards
Important Dates:
-Nominations for the 2020 Conference are due by October 1, 2020 to Kate Latham via Google Form submission
-Recipients of awards will be notified via email by October 15, 2020
-Awards will be presented on October 24, 2020

1. Elementary Level Art Educator of the Year
2. Middle Level Art Educator of the Year
3. Secondary Level Educator of the Year
4. Higher Education Art Educator of the Year
5. Special Needs Champion Art Educator of the Year
6. Art Educator of the Year
7. Supervision/Administrator of the Year

Student & Teacher Art Show
Conference Teacher Art Show
A Virtual Teacher-Only Show is being designed and planned for 2020.
Teachers will submit images and information via Google Form.
Show will be available to view during the social hour and closing of conference.

Conference Student Art Show
Cost: MUST enter Conference Only - Teacher Show
Dates of Show: October 11th-12th
Grade Level Categories:
2D: K-2, 3-5, 6-8, 9-10, 11-12
3D: K-2, 3-5, 6-8, 9-10, 11-12
# of Pieces Allowed for Submission: 6 per school you teach at, i.e. if you teach at both a middle and high school you can submit 6 entries from middle and 6 from high school. If you work only at the high school you can only submit 6 entries total. It’s up to each teacher submitting work to decide how many of their 6 pieces will be 2D and how many will be 3D.
Exceptional Child (Special Needs) Categories: Same grade level categories as listed above.
# of Pieces Allowed for Submission: 3 per school you teach at
Awards (to be handed out at Gala on Friday, October 11th at 5:00 p.m.
All pieces must be submitted in ready to hang/display condition with identification tag(s) and inventory sheet (see awards packet) at the East Jessamine Middle School Cafe between 7:30 and 10:00 a.m.
Pieces can be picked up anytime on Saturday and must be picked up by 2:00 p.m. We cannot guarantee the safe return of any pieces not picked up by 2:00 p.m.
*Must be a current member of NAEA and KyAEA and attending the 2019 Conference
